Papa has been making his perfect peanut brittle for over 30 years now. His mother made it for him and now the recipe spans five generations. Papa passed the recipe down to his granddaughter, Angela, in 2010 and after several training batches, Papa gave his blessing and Angela took the recipe to the market.
Papa traditionally made peanut brittle and several years ago added pecan brittle. Our family likes cashews, so cashew brittle was the next obvious choice. One grandson thought we should combine all of the nuts and even had a name for the new brittle, Brittle Gone Nuts. Another grandson prefers brittle with no nuts so we made Nuts on Vacation. Our customers have also had suggestions so now we have several varieties including two hot and spicy brittles. Each batch is handmade and we enjoy experimenting with different flavors and combinations.
